  • DUO Bay RUF Tide Vib 60 is a compact Japanese-made sinking vibration lure. Although originally developed for coastal saltwater fishing, it also performs well in freshwater. Its 60 mm profile and 9.6 g weight suit perch, zander, smaller pike and other predators feeding on small forage.
    Key features. The fixed-weight body starts vibrating as soon as the retrieve begins, with pronounced vibration rather than loud rattling providing the lure's main signal. A flexible dorsal fin helps stabilise the body and withstand impacts better than a rigid plastic detail. The belly treble is mounted on a swivelling connection that reduces hook leverage and the risk of fish shaking free.
    Action and application. Tide Vib 60 can be retrieved steadily, worked at changing speeds or fished with lifts and pauses. Let it sink for a measured time before retrieving to reach the required layer. The stated 0.2–0.8 m range describes its nominal running depth, but a longer sink time allows deeper water to be covered. The smaller 60 mm model is easy to present subtly when fish are inactive or feeding on small baitfish.

    Ice-fishing use. Tide Vib 60 is not exclusively a winter lure, but its small profile is well suited to vertical ice fishing. Perch and zander usually respond to short slow lifts and gentle rocking that makes the lure sway subtly. For pike, stronger rod lifts can be used to create more pronounced vibration. Keep the lure in the depth where fish are holding and use controlled pauses between movements.
    Other sizes in the series. The Bay RUF Tide Vib range includes three models: 60 mm / 9.6 g (0.2–0.8 m), 70 mm / 15.5 g (0.6–0.8 m) and 80 mm / 25 g (0.7–1.0 m). Tide Vib 60 is the smallest and lightest for a more subtle presentation; the 70 mm is the versatile middle option, while the 80 mm offers a larger profile, sinks faster and is better suited to deeper water.
