DUO Onimasu Kagura 88S – aggressive long-casting salmon minnow 88 mm 19 g

DUO Onimasu Kagura 88S is a Japanese-designed sinking minnow developed for large wild salmonids. The model was supervised by experienced Japanese angler Toshiaki Sawada, and the wider Onimasu Kagura range is intended for demanding fishing in larger rivers. In Lithuanian conditions, 88S is primarily a salmon and sea-trout lure whose strongest qualities are highly aggressive action, long casting distance and dependable control in current.
Key features. Its 19 g weight is packed into a streamlined 88 mm body, allowing the lure to cut through the air and reach distant channels, the far side of the current and productive water well away from the bank. During the cast, the internal weight shifts towards the tail and returns to its working position on retrieve. This stabilises flight and helps the minnow maintain a balanced yet aggressive swimming action.
Action and application. Kagura 88S produces a bold, aggressive action that remains noticeable in powerful or stained current and can provoke a territorial salmon or sea-trout strike. Retrieve it steadily, work it across the current, hold it downstream or add short twitches. The sinking body can be counted down before the retrieve, while its 1.1–1.4 m running depth allows precise presentation through the main channel, along current seams and above deeper rocky sections.
Why choose it:
• 88 mm, 19 g sinking minnow for salmon and sea trout;
• highly aggressive action provokes decisive predatory strikes;
• moving-weight system provides long and accurate casting;
• stable performance in strong current and with varied retrieves;
• strong size #4 treble hooks suit powerful salmonids.
