DUO Realis Apex Vibe F85 is a Japanese-made sinking lipless vibration lure developed with renowned US tournament angler Aaron Martens. Although originally designed for black bass, its 85 mm, 26 g body is particularly effective for pike and zander in European waters.
Key features. F85 is shorter than Apex Vibe 100, but its body is thicker and deeper. This profile and its slower, wide action resemble a larger weakened baitfish and remain easy for predators to detect. On the fall, the lure holds a more horizontal posture and produces a slow side-to-side shimmy, so it continues attracting fish during pauses. The rearward line tie helps the nose pass over cover more easily.
Action and application. Apex Vibe F85 can be retrieved slowly and steadily, worked with speed changes, lifted and allowed to fall, or paused for longer intervals. It starts producing pronounced vibration as soon as it moves, while retaining a wider and less hurried action than many narrow vibration lures. Counting down before the retrieve allows the angler to select the water layer to cover.
