  • DUO Realis Fangshad 140SR is a floating Fang Ops shad-profile lure developed for large and toothy predators. Its 140 mm, 45 g deep-bodied profile creates the silhouette of substantial prey and displaces plenty of water. DUO designed it for pike, payara, giant snakehead, barramundi, peacock bass and other tropical targets; in European waters its primary application is fishing for large pike.
    Key features. Fangshad 140SR has thickened body walls and a reinforced internal structure. A heavy wire runs from the line eye through the lure to the rear hook hanger and is secured by steel pins. This through-wire construction, oversized hangers and two size #1/0 trebles are made for demanding loads. The lure is silent, relying on body movement and water displacement rather than an internal rattle.
    Action and application. Fangshad 140SR produces a wide wobble combined with subtle body roll. Its specially shaped lip preserves active movement while reducing excessive retrieve resistance. Fish it on a steady retrieve, with speed changes, stop-and-go, or jerks and pauses. The floating body rises during pauses, giving a following predator time to strike. Running depth is approximately 1.0–1.8 m and varies with retrieve speed, line and tackle setup.

Compared with the slimmer minnow profile of Fangbait lures, Fangshad has a deeper, bulkier shad body and displaces more water.
