DUO Spearhead Ryuki 70S SW – saltwater sinking minnow for asp and trout 70 mm 9 g

DUO Spearhead Ryuki 70S SW is first and foremost a sinking minnow developed for saltwater fishing. The SW Limited range is intended for marine predators and uses stronger saltwater-oriented hooks and split rings. In Lithuania, the 70S SW has become a popular asp lure because it casts far and remains stable in fast current. It also performs very well for trout in fast rivers, including Scandinavian waters.
Key features. The semi-long lip grips the water, while the flat body, low centre of gravity and fixed weights keep the lure stable in strong and changing current. Ryuki 70S SW retains its action at high retrieve speed and even when pulled directly against powerful flow. It starts working immediately and responds precisely to rod movements. A lower body profile improves flight, while marine colours and stronger hardware suit saltwater use.
Action and application. When targeting asp, Ryuki 70S SW can be retrieved quickly and steadily, across the current or directly against it. High speed and stable, visible action often provoke an asp strike. For trout, use consecutive twitches, a controlled drift or a down-cross presentation. Its sinking body reaches the middle and lower layers, while the approximate 0.6–1 m running depth suits riffles, current seams and areas around larger stones.
Why choose it:
• 70 mm, 9 g sinking saltwater minnow;
• long and accurate casting reaches feeding fish at distance;
• stable action at high speed and directly against strong current;
• starts quickly and responds precisely to twitching;
• built for coastal predators, while widely used for asp and trout in Lithuania.
Specifications. Model – Spearhead Ryuki 70S SW; length – 70 mm; weight – 9 g; type – saltwater minnow lure; buoyancy – sinking (S); running depth – approximately 0.6–1 m; weight system – fixed; construction – flat body, low centre of gravity and semi-long lip; hooks – two saltwater-oriented size #10 trebles; rings – size #2; recommended retrieves – fast steady retrieve, directly against current, across-current and twitching; main Lithuanian targets – asp and trout.
Spearhead Ryuki SW Limited sizes. 45S – 45 mm and 4 g; 50S – 50 mm and 4.5 g; 60S – 60 mm and 6.5 g; 70S – 70 mm and 9 g; 71S – 71 mm and 10 g; 80S – 80 mm and 12 g; 95S WT – 95 mm and 17 g; 110S – 110 mm and 21 g. All are sinking models. Sizes 45–60 mm are used more often for smaller marine predators and trout. The 70S, 71S and 80S are particularly effective for asp in Lithuanian rivers. The 95S WT and 110S imitate larger prey, cast farther and suit stronger coastal or river current.
