DUO Tide Minnow Slim 175SP is a Japanese-designed suspending saltwater minnow. This 175 mm version of the Tide Minnow Slim was developed primarily for Mediterranean coastal fishing, where predators feed on sardines, mullet, sand smelt and other elongated baitfish. Its large yet slim profile remains visible without producing excessive resistance on the retrieve.
Key features. The flat, slim body and thin lip produce a tight rolling action on a steady retrieve. During the cast, the moving-weight system shifts weight towards the tail, helping the 175 mm lure fly farther and more steadily. When the retrieve begins, the weights return to their working position and restore the lure's balance.
Action and application. Tide Minnow Slim 175SP can be retrieved steadily, but twitching and short jerks reveal its full potential. After one or several pulls, pause and allow the lure to approximately hold the depth it has reached and remain in the strike zone longer. Its 1.0–1.6 m running range suits coastal shallows, bays, harbour walls, rocky water and presentations above submerged cover. European seabass, barracuda and other larger coastal predators are the main targets. It can also be used for pike in freshwater, although actual buoyancy varies with salinity, line, leader and hook weight.
Why choose it:
• 175 mm, 27.6 g suspending saltwater minnow;
• approximately holds the depth it has reached on the pause and remains in the strike zone longer;
• moving-weight system improves casting distance and accuracy;
• tight rolling action on a steady retrieve and sharp side-to-side movement when twitched;
• 1.0–1.6 m running range suits coastal shallows and presentations above submerged cover.

175, 175SP or 175 Flyer? All three models are 175 mm long but differ in buoyancy and role. Tide Minnow Slim 175 weighs 27 g, floats and runs at approximately 0.8–1.3 m. The 27.6 g 175SP suspends, runs at approximately 1.0–1.6 m and roughly holds the depth it has reached on the pause. The 29 g 175 Flyer sinks and runs at about 0.9–1.4 m; its casting and stability advantages are most apparent in strong wind and rough waves. The Tide Minnow Slim range also includes 120, 140, 140 Flyer, 148F, 178F, 200 and 200 Flyer.
