Megabass KIRINJI 90 is a hybrid surface lure that combines wakebait and popper features. It works on the surface or just below it, making it useful where only a little water remains over weed tops, shallow flats or bank-side cover.
KIRINJI 90 uses the water-through concept known from Megabass POPX and POPMAX lures. The hydrodynamic 4 Intake 4 Out structure guides water through the concave head and helps create sharp wobbling, rolling, splashes and a bubble trail with low retrieve resistance.
On a slow to medium retrieve, the lure pushes a clear wake on the surface, rolls from side to side and flashes. Its stable action also keeps it controllable in light waves or current.
KIRINJI 90 can be worked as a wakebait, but short rod pulls also let it act like a popper. The lure slides, splashes, leaves a bubble trail and imitates baitfish panicking on the surface.
In Lithuanian waters and similar conditions, this model is useful for pike and larger perch when they feed close to the surface. It is effective over weed beds, in shallow bays, near reeds, along bank slopes and anywhere a deeper-diving lure would be difficult to work.
