Pontoon21 BET-A-MINNOW 78SP-SR – twitching minnow lure, 78 mm, 7.8 g

Pontoon21 BET-A-MINNOW 78SP-SR is a 78 mm, 7.8 g suspending (SP) minnow lure from the Pontoon21 BET-A family. The SR version has a running depth of 0.3–0.5 m, making it particularly suitable for shallow water.

BET-A-MINNOW combines active action with excellent stability. Its original body shape and carefully balanced wobbling and rolling movements create a lively presentation with noticeable side flashes.

The lure reveals its strongest qualities when twitching. It responds quickly to rod movements, allowing the angler to vary jerk strength, rhythm and pause duration to create different presentations. Irregular retrieves make particularly good use of the lure's characteristics. It can also be fished with a steady retrieve or Stop&Go.

A thin yet durable fiberglass lip provides the required running depth without restricting the lure's active movement. This construction makes BET-A-MINNOW easy to control and highly responsive to rod input.

Several steel weights positioned along the lower part of the body help balance the lure precisely and maintain stable action with different retrieve styles.

BET-A-MINNOW uses the MFB (Magnetic Force Balance) magnetic balancing and casting system. During the cast, the moving internal weight shifts toward the tail, moving the center of gravity to the rear of the lure. This improves flight stability, casting distance and accuracy. Once the retrieve begins, the weight returns to its working position and is held there by a magnet.

The 0.3–0.5 m running depth allows the lure to be worked across shallow areas, near-bank zones, bays and above submerged vegetation. This is particularly useful where deeper-running lures would quickly reach the bottom or catch vegetation.

The suspending SP version provides additional possibilities when using pauses. When the retrieve stops, the lure remains in the working water layer or changes its position only slightly. This allows it to stay longer in the strike zone.

The versatile 78 mm size makes BET-A-MINNOW 78SP-SR suitable for targeting different predatory fish in both still water and rivers.

The lure is equipped with Owner ST-36BC treble hooks.
