St. Croix Legend Elite Panfish LEP70LXF is a 7 ft one-piece spinning rod for light 1/16–3/16 oz lures. Its light, responsive blank clearly transmits lure action, bottom contact and subtle bites. Designed for panfish in North America, it is also an excellent European choice for perch, trout and chub.
Blank and technologies. The main section uses high-modulus SCV carbon, while super high-modulus SCVI carbon reinforces the lower blank. FRS uses a stronger resin and carefully controls how it hardens. This keeps the carbon fibres in place and makes the blank stronger. IPC helps the blank flex smoothly, TET shapes its taper, and ART reinforces high-load areas with almost no increase in blank diameter or weight.
Action and application. LEP70LXF has Light power, an Extra Fast action and a 2–6 lb line rating. The responsive tip registers light-jig bottom contact and delicate bites, while the middle and lower sections engage progressively under load to retain the power needed to control a larger fish.
