Introduction. Pontoon21 CrackJack 98F-SR is a floating minnow lure for working shallow areas. The 98 mm, 14.8 g model runs at 0.7–1.0 m. It is a practical choice above weed beds, in shallow bays, along banks and in other places where a deeper-running lure would quickly contact vegetation or the bottom.
Key features. The Magnetic Force Balance (MFB) system uses a moving stainless-steel ball. During casting, it shifts towards the tail, helping the lure travel farther on a more stable trajectory. Once retrieval begins, the ball returns to its working position and is held by a magnet. This maintains proper balance, stable action at different retrieve speeds and a quick response to rod-tip movements.
Action and application. CrackJack 98F-SR can be twitched, retrieved steadily or worked with stop-and-go pauses. When twitched, it darts actively to the sides, while its floating body rises during a pause. This is useful above weeds and around other cover. The lure is easy to control, allowing the angler to vary jerk intensity and pause duration according to predator activity. The 98 mm size is especially suitable for pike, as well as perch and zander in shallow water. Quality Owner treble hooks provide reliable hook-ups.
